A Ugandan national, Tom Ssekamwa, 24, has been arrested in Masvingo, Zimbabwe, after he was caught with s3x toys and assorted items.
He was arraigned at the Masvingo Magistrates Court on a charge bordering on criminal nuisance and for contravening the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act.
The Zimbabwean prosecutor’s office, known as the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) disclosed that the police were tipped off on Thursday, August 1, 2024, that Ssekamwa had s3x toys at Backpackers Rest Budget Accommodation in Masvingo.
NPA said the police went to the location and found sex toys and a lubricant for men inside the accused person’s bag.
Ssekamwa was then arrested and arraigned. He appeared before the Masvingo Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 6, for his bail ruling.
Possession or selling of adult toys is illegal under Zimbabwe’s censorship and entertainment control law.
