Itinerant scrap metal collectors, popularly called ‘iron condemn’ have vandalised parts of the FESTAC Link Bridge to obtain some of the embedded iron rods.
A resident who was using the bridge saw the damage and recorded the scene.
The video shows how the edges of the bridge was chipped off to expose some of the iron rods buried inside the concrete.
Some of the rods have been harvested.
