The viral duo known as Happie Boys are believed to have returned to their security guard jobs following their deportation from Cyprus where they were sent on scholarship by a cleric.
It would be recalled that the boys who were sacked from their duty posts at the Chicken Republic for dancing while on duty were transported into instant fame when netizens took it upon themselves to fight the injustice done to them by their employers.
Many argued that they did no harm by dancing while doing their jobs and should at the very worst have been warned and allowed to continue their jobs.
Following the wide attention drawn by the issue, a cleric, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere sent for them and later sent them to Cyprus to further their education.
Some months down the line, the boys released a video abusing their benefactor, accusing him of not sending them money as required.
Their action infuriated the cleric who cursed them and later reversed the curses after they apologised.
They turned around to abuse him at least one more time before they got into trouble in Cyprus and were brought back to Nigeria.
A blogger claimed to have sighted one of them in a security guard uniform, suggesting they might have returned to their humble beginning to make ends meet.
The blogger, Tosin Silverdam, recorded a clip of his encounter with one of them but did not engage with him.
He announced on his platform that the boys had returned to square one, from grass to grace and then back to grass” he wrote.
