Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi st@bbed to d3ath by his sister in the US
The self-styled Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II of Oyotunji African village in Beaufort County, Southern Carolina, United States of America, has allegedly been st@bbed to d£ath by his sister.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday, July 29, 2024 during an altercation.
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said it’s communications centre was informed of a st@bbing around 2:45 p.m. at the Oyotunji village, and officer were sent to the location, on Bryant Lane.
The officers met the victim, a 47-year-old man, Adejuyigbe Adefunmi, with st@b wounds and took him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The sister of the deceased, Akiba Kasale Meredith, 53, was identified as the assailant and was said to have left the crime scene on foot.
Officers traced the suspect a short time later and charged her with murder.
She is currently being detained at the Beaufort County Detention Centre.
It would be recalled that the late Oba Adejuyigbe told the Punch in 2017 that he had seven wives scattered in Oyotunji, Virginia and other locations.
