Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has condemned the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for speaking to her without respect.
It would be recalled that he two government officials have been trading words with each other since the beginning of this administration.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Mabushi Bus Terminal in Abuja earlier this month, Wike openly criticized Kingibe and threatened her she would not return to her in the 2027 general elections.
He accused the senator of being angry that FCT residents were praising his good works in Abuja and what President Bola Tinubu was doing for the country. He said this was disheartening.
He also called on her to go and hug a transformer if she was unhappy with his performance in FCT.
In response, Kingibe said the FCT Minister did not understand the concept of leadership in FCT.
She also noted that as an older person, she deserved better respect from the Minister.
