French President Macron’s ‘passionate’ kiss with his minister generates buzz (photos)

The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, is trending online following his intimate greeting of his sports minister during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony.

Photos from the event are currently being bandied around on social media.

They show  46-year-old Macron, sharing a passionate embrace and kiss with Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, also 46.

Amelie was a former professional tennis player and currently the country’s minister of sports.

The two held each other tightly longer than people believed was necessary and many netizens are likening the display to what happens between lovers.

French magazine, Madame Figaro, blew the story into public consciousness by calling the kiss “strange”.

The magazine also claimed that Oudéa-Castéra was fond of drawing attention to herself.
