Jailed cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, will reportedly be released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5, 2024.

Bobrisky has spent some months behind bars for abusing the nation’s currency, the Naira.

Quoting a source, the Punch, reported that Bobrisky will breath the air of freedom following the completion of his prison term.

The crossdresser’s lawyer, Ayo Olumofin, confirmed the development to the publication.

He added that there was no special thing attached to the event other than for him or any other lawyer to show up to escort him out.

It would be recalled that Bobrisky was arraigned on April 5, 2024, and slammed with a four-count charge of naira abuse by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court thereafter sentenced him to six months imprisonment without an option of fine on April 12, 2024.
