Media aide to President Bola Tinubu, Olusegun Dada, has reportedly deleted an old tweet where he called for w@r after tear gas was used to disperse protesters in 2o11.
Recall that the same aide has been in the news after he warned that those “who want to burn down the country will be resisted.
Some X users then dug up his own old tweets calling for protests against former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
He defended himself saying that he did not condemn protests, but only condemned violent protests.
More digging into his account by netizens has reportedly also yielded a tweet of him warning that war was inevitable following the dispersal of peaceful protesters with tear gas by the police in 2011.
He had tweeted:
“When peaceful change is impossible, violent change becomes inevitable! We protest peacefully and u throw us teargas, prepare for war!”
The tweet carried the time stamp of 2:06pm and date stamp of 17 December 2011.
The tweet has now been deleted by the aide.
