An X user has taken to the platform to disclose unknown details about the botched engagement of media girl and influencer, Ife Agoro.

Recall that the influencer took to social media to disclose that she broke off an engagement and cancelled a wedding after all arrangements had been made because she did not feel right about the wedding.

A certain Thomas Bright with the handle @OfficialDadyA2 has now come out to state that Ife did not tell the whole truth about the entire event.

He wrote:

“A man spend his life savings to marry you. He bought a ring for you with his money, your wedding gown was fully paid for, your asoebi was settled, spend money on introduction that cost a lot of money,  he spend his money for everything just to make you happy and most of the wedding plans came from you and Not from him. You even pressure him to buy the type of ring you wanted for your wedding. You told him how you wanted your dream wedding to be like and he fulfilled it for you, just to make you happy.

Only for you to wake one day and call off the wedding and then went to Huawei to chill and cool off your head.

You never thought of what the man will go through after all these. The disgrace he received from his family and friends. He couldn’t explain what transpired. You want to make it as if you were the one that was deeply hurt.

If this is not wickedness. Then tell me what it is.”

It would be recalled that a popular social media influencer and founder of Diary of a Naija Girl (DANG), recently revealed why she called off her wedding in 2013.

Agoro opened up about her decade-long failed relationship on X in response to a post about the importance of calling off engagements if doubts arise.

She said she broke off her engagement about two months to the planned wedding.

The entrepreneur recalled that when she was almost 30, she realised she was marrying for the “wrong reasons” and chose to prioritise her well-being over societal expectations.

The 41-year-old added that it was “one of the best decisions of my life”.

“I was going to clock 30 and I don’t know who put it in my head that I had to be married at that time or it would be socially unacceptable to be unmarried at 30,” she wrote.

“Broke off my engagement two months to the wedding. Broke things off without thinking of all of that and returned everyone’s aso ebi money. I was getting married for the wrong reasons and I just couldn’t continue. I made one of the best decisions of my life.”

Agoro, who has no publicised relationship yet, was born on May 13, 1983.

She began her career as an anonymous blogger, discussing various societal issues.

Before her blogging career, she founded Rock Palmer Limited, an oil and gas company, in 2012.

In 2015, she launched DANG, an online platform where she anonymously shared the everyday experiences of a Nigerian woman.
