A fuel tanker accident occurred in front of Car Park C of the Redemption City, Ogun State on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway on Friday, June 28, 2024.
The cause of the accident is not known, but the eye-witness who recorded the scene said residents threw caution to the wind and besieged the scene with containers to fetch fuel, not worried about a possible explosion.
The incident happened on the Ibadan-bound lane and caused a severe traffic hiccup that backed up to Arepo Bus Stop.
No casualties were reported.
Security men reportedly arrived the scene to sanitise it and cordon it for public safety.
