The General Overseer of an Abuja-based church, Jesus Divine Solution and Deliverance Outreach, Pastor Kelvin Okafor, has reportedly abandoned his wife and four children to secretly marry his church’s women leader at an Owerri hotel.
The pastor of the church located on Arab Road, Abuja allegedly absconded from home where his wife of 17 years, Mrs. Chidiebere Okafor lived with their children to go for a divorcee, Mrs. Chinenye Jessica Nwaneri.
The traditional marriage happened at a hotel in Owerri, Imo State, on Saturday, June 22, to avoid media backlash since Pastor Okafor is still legally married to his first wife.
Guests were instructed not to take photos or videos during the wedding, but an undercover reporter was able to witness the event.
According to sources, Mrs. Chidiebere Okafor is unaware that her husband, with whom she is legally married broke their vows to be with another woman.
Additionally, Pastor Okafor’s new wife, an Ordained Elder of the church, is said to be aware that he is still legally married to Mrs. Chidiebere.
Many have since condemned the preacher for acting against the holy scripture and for betraying his wife who stood by him when he had nothing.
