Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has put politics aside to express sympathy for President Bola Tinubu after he slipped at the Eagles Square during the 2024 Democracy Day celebration.

It would be recalled that Tinubu slipped at the Eagles Square while boarding the parade vehicle earlier today, Wednesday, June 12.

The President, however, quickly regained his balance and continued with the proceedings without further issues.

Reacting, Atiku expressed his empathy over the incident, hoping that all is well with the President.

He wrote on X, “I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, @officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him. -AA.”

His tweet has generated another conversation of its own, with some commending him and others suggesting that he was stylishly mocking President Tinubu.

The latter school of thought believed Atiku need not to have attached the clip of President Tinubu falling to his tweet if he genuinely just wanted to sympathise with him.

They believe he was helping to circulate the video while pretending to be showing concern for the president.

You can see the clip in our earlier report here.
