Moment revelers fell to the ground after a grass railing collapsed in Mexico (Graphic video)

A trending video has shown the moment a group of revellers at a bar crashed to the ground from the third floor on the night of Friday, June 7, 2024, in Mexico.

The incident happened at the Rich Bar in Plaza Altus, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Some young people were lounging on the balcony waiting for a concert when a glass railing they were resting on gave way without warning throwing them down from a height of 12 meters.

Three young people died in the incident while 16 others were injured.

Authorities said the venue was overcrowded with attendees waiting for the performance of Kevin Moreno, a singer from Culiacán, Sinaloa.

Witnesses described the venue as being packed, with many people gathered in the corridors outside the bar, putting excessive pressure on the glass railings.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the chaotic scene, where some victims were severely injured and others experienced nervous breakdowns. Five of the injured were reported to be in critical condition.

The area was cordoned off by security personnel, and by the following morning, the venue was closed by authorities. Due to the severity of the incident, the performance by Kevin Moreno was canceled.
