Comedian Brain jotter changes life of physically challenged woman
Raises over N20m for her for arriving early for his Abuja show
Social media comic, known by his stage name, Brain Jotter, has changed the life of a physically challenged fan who turned up early for his Abuja show.
The plus-size woman is said to have prosthetic legs and arm but managed to get to the Transcorp Hilton show venue early on May 25, 2024.
The comedian saw her when he went for a sound check and assumed she was one of the production staff.
But upon interacting with her, he realized she was a fan who was there early for the show.
During the show, the comic said he felt like making someone a millionaire and called out a small boy. He asked for one more person and his colleague, Broda Shaggi, was already bringing up a lady when Brain Jotter remembered the physically challenged lady he saw earlier.
He asked if she was still in the hall and the audience who sat around her upstairs where fans with regular tickets sat shouted that she was there.
He invited her to the stage where a chair was brought for her and he started a fund raiser for her with a donation of one million naira.
Before long, others joined in and by the end of it all, the lady had amassed about N20 million.
One man announced a personal donation of N10 million, Transcorp offered her a room to stay overnight, while a company pledged to foot the bill of the treatment of her condition.
The woman, could not believe her luck and broke down in tears.
In a video produced after the show, she thanked everyone who contributed money for her, Transcorp Hilton who gave her a room, Brain Jotter who made it all happen and everyone else who contributed one way or the other to change her life.
