Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, has declared that the singer’s son, Liam is not his grandson.

This is a different position from his former claim that Liam was his grandson and that he only wanted Wunmi to conduct a DNA test on the baby to put all doubts to rest.

But now in a recent interview, Mohbad’s father is saying the boy is not his grandson and that Mohbad was killed by ‘Ale’ (concubine), insinuating that it was Wunmi’s concubine who was interested in having the son and her mother for himself that eliminated Mohbad.

He said the identity of the person who killed Mohbad would be unmasked once a DNA test had been carried out.

He said, “Ale lo pa Mohbad. Ale lo pa Mohbad”, meaning “A concubine killed Mohbad”

He continued: “There are lots of lie from his wife. She was saying around that I am spoiling her because she did not give me the placenta.

“People called my attention to the fact that we are not bow-legged in our family, that the child is bow-legged. I did not name him Liam, I wanted to name him Victor, it is Muslims that name children Liam. I don’t know where they came across such a name.

“We have been talking about the DNA, they insisted and said we should proceed to burying the remains of Mohbad, how do we know if the child is ours or not, he is bow-legged.

“I have not seen the King whose name was mentioned, i don’t lie, it was only included in the petition that the king sent them to kill him. It was written there, Mohbad wrote it there that said Sam Larry and his boys were sent by the king. It was stamped, it was made public.

“If we want the cause of my son’s death revealed, there is need for DNA test, a concubine killed Mohbad.”

“Liam is not my grandson. Wunmi should conduct DNA, and then I’ll point out Mohbad’s k!ller”.
