Singer Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable has remained in police custody after failing to meet the bail terms for his release.
The singer was arrested by police operatives in Lagos State on Tuesday, May 14, for refusing to pay the N14 million debt he incurred when he bought a Benz from a car dealer in the state.
Speaking with newsmen, the command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hudenyin said the singer will remain in the police cell, pending when he’s able to produce a reliable surety before he can be granted bail.
“He has presented no reliable surety yet so he (Portable) is still with us,” he said on Wednesday evening.
