UNIZIK first class graduate rewrites JAMB to change career
Netizens criticize her for wasting her parents’ money
A Unizik first-class graduate, Uka Juliet Chidiebube, has showcased her brilliant performance in the recently released 2024 UTME results.
Uka Juliet Chidiebube graduated with a first-class degree in Chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where she emerged as the overall best-graduating student from the Department of Chemistry.
She decided to take UTME again as she wanted to go back to school to study medicine.
According to a report in LegitNG, Uka Julie Chidiebube scored 324 in aggregate in the exam.
Her results showed that she received the highest score of 92 in Physics. Juliet also received 68 in English usage, 82 in biology, and 82 in chemistry.
Juliet’s older brother, Uka Obiora Kingsley, told Legit.ng that his sister was determined to pursue a career in medicine and surgery no matter what.
The family, according to Obiora, is from Anambra State, and they are in support of Juliet’s ambition of becoming a doctor.
“She has demonstrated resilience through outstanding performance. She has maintained that her ambition is to become a doctor. This led her to write Jamb again this year 2024 and scored an aggregate of 324,” he said.
Readers however felt that the route she has opted to go through is a waste of valuable time.
Many of them opined that she should have changed her course at 200 level at the university or gone in for Medicine as a direct candidate.
Read some reactions:
Caleb David said: “Good luck to her but I think she is wasting her resources. She did not need to sit for JAMB but take a direct entry. By so doing, she will save one academic year and the costs associated with JAMB.”
Clement Osunde remarked: “She has no responsibility, just want to finish her parents”
Ozonuwe C Ambrose stated: “She has no responsibility.”
Victor Ba-ssey commented: “She should have apply for direct entry. Or better apply for master degree/scholarship.”
Alam Enoch said: “She is truly a first class graduate. 👍🏿”
Ken Ikeobasi Oduka wrote: “The jamb was baseless aaacus she is suppose to get into medical school as a 200 level student directly cus her GP is over 4.5. Why writing the jamb again. Or even change her course wen she was around 200 to 300 level in the course of studying chemistry that was the practice in my time. Why going to start afresh again. Well reasons known to her. Good luck.”
