Italy-bound Nigerian man stranded in Libya calls for assistance to return home
A Nigerian man called Chizzy Anthon, has posted a video on social media begging for assistance to be returned to Nigeria from Libya.
Anthon, from Isiala Mbano in Imo State, said a friend lured him to embark on a journey to Italy through the Mediterranean Sea.
Before the misadventure, he claimed he had established himself as a Nollywood production Manager here in Nigeria. He decided to go for greener pastures in Italy but did not quite make it there.
He alleged that the friend sold him to slave drivers in Libya and absconded leaving him there.
He claimed he worked there for four months digging the soil for illegal mining business operators in the country.
He alleged that many ‘slaves’ like him died in the operations, but he was lucky to escape and is currently hiding somewhere in the country.
He begged for assistance to be brought back home.
