A Nigerian lady who operates a POS has shed hot tears after being duped of over N80,000 by a customer.
The customer visited her shop to deposit ₦90,000 and gave her the cash, which she claimed she counted to be sure it was correct.
She then transferred the cash to the account the customer provided only for her to discover that the money she counted as N1000 notes were actually N100 notes.
The bundle totalled a mere ₦7,600 as opposed to the N90,000 she sent out to the customer’s account.
She only realized this when another customer wanted to withdraw money and she went to the cash to pay the customer.
She wrote: “I was scammed today 😭 Someone came to do a POS deposit of ₦90,000, and I counted the cash he brought, which was complete. I sent the money to his account.”
“But a few hours later, when I opened the wrapping to give cash to another customer, I found that the money had turned into ₦100 notes, totalling ₦7,600. 😭😭😭 My hard-earned money gone just like that.”
She attached a video of the cash the customer gave her.
