Video of the alleged mastermind of the daring anyone to apprehend him trends
The Commissioner of Police for Delta State, Olufemi Abaniwonda, has disclosed that his men have not been able to gain access into Okuoma where some military officers and soldiers were killed by yet-to-be apprehended men.
The commissioner was speaking on Arise Television when he made the disclosure.
He explained that the entire area had become a military operation ground and the police could not enter without clearance from military authorities.
He said the police were working on obtaining the necessary clearance to be able to gain access to the location and do an assessment of the crisis.
Meanwhile, a video purportedly made by the mastermind of the killings is currently trending on social media.
The video showed a man who claimed that the soldiers killed were supporting a party in the dispute rocking the Okuama and Okoloba communities.
The man speaking in English said he was not afraid to show his face because if he showed it there was nothing anyone could do to him.
He claimed that ‘they’ took the action they did to prevent the soldiers from arresting the elders of their communities.
He alleged that the deployed soldiers were supporting a side in the fight and were not there for peace-keeping as generally believed.
