Herbert Wigwe, wife, son buried in Rivers
Shyngle Wigwe, the father of the late former Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Dr Herbert Wigwe reportedly slumped earlier today, March 9 at home, and was taken to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
This was made known by a popular influencer on X (formerly Twitter), Tony Ogbuagu, while disputing reports that the late billionaire’s father had died.
He wrote: “Herbert Wigwe’s father is not dead, please. He only slumped and has been taken to the hospital. Make una slow down with all these bad news.”
However, a police source told the Vanguard that the report of Herbert Wigwe’s father slumping is not true. He said the old man was “Hale and hearty”.
The source added: “Even the Senate President (Godswill Akpabio) met and prayed for him.
“The story of Pa Wigwe’s collapse is totally false. We should allow the family to mourn its dead and not add to the pain by writing false stories,” the source added.
