“Nigerians in the UK are super stingy. They can’t give somebody ordinary £500” – Lagos-based man (video)

A Nigerian man, who called himself Alhaji, has dragged his compatriots in the United Kingdom, especially those living in London, for being too stingy.

In a video shared online, the man said Nigerians in Manchester and other parts of the world like France are generous but those that reside in West and North London are stingy and cannot even give their people ordinary £500. According to him, all they know how to do is to do video calls for three to four hours, gossip and send people on errands.

Speaking in Yoruba, the man said:

“Those of you in the UK, you are not showing love especially those in West and North London. You always cherish that your pounds and never want to part with it. Those in Manchester show us love, they even send us 100 pounds but you guys, all you know is to call somebody, use three to four hours on video calls, gossip about nonsense, telling us you bought a land in Badagry and Ikorodu.

Those in France show love. My friend in Monaco sent me 1000 Euros. He surprised me. You go and convert it to Naira to know how much that is, and he has never sent me on any errand. Those of you that we help to monitor your houses and land and even help retrieve lost properties, you cannot give us money except to be gossiping up and down and asking ‘When are you coming to London’ Even if I come to the UK, I will not come to London, I am going to Manchester straight. Ordinary 500 pounds una nor go fit give person”
