A couple has been left heartbroken after organizing a lavish wedding reception that cost them N43M only for guests not to show up.
According to Daily Mail, the couple received confirmations from 88 guests who said they would show up, and then went ahead to spend over $27,000 (about N43 million) on the wedding.
On D-Day, only a handful of close family members and friends showed up.
A video shared online by @grayanxiet showed the whole place looking empty as most of the guests failed to turn up for the wedding event.
The video was captioned …
“88 people said yes… not even 40 showed up.”
The video gained traction online and has since amassed millions of views.
People who experienced similar incidents took to the comment section to cheer up the couple. One said only three people turned up for her own wedding. And they were members of her husband’s family.
