A video of the moment a lion who killed its keeper at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Zoo on Monday was put down is trending.
The video captures the immediate aftermath of the mauling of Mr Olabode Olawuyi, who was a Veterinary Technologist in charge of the Zoological garden for over a decade by a 9-year-old male lion on Monday
Mr Olawuyi was said to be feeding the lion when the tragedy happened.
The video showed colleagues of the late zoo keeper lamenting over his lifeless body.
Two armed men can be seen in the video, with a voice off the camera’s view ordering them to shoot the offending lion.
One of the armed men shot the lion dead.
