Nigerian soldier with bullet in his leg kicks as President Tinubu gifts Super Eagles players houses, national honor
A Nigerian soldier who had a bullet lodged in his leg while serving in the North East has criticised President Tinubu’s largesse of apartments, plots of land and national honours to the super Eagles after they came second in the just concluded AFCON.
Recall that the super eagles got flats, plots of land and national honours for their efforts.
The soldier was reacting an X-user’s post querying the rationale behind giving Ahmed Musa the same gifts as the others who actually played at the tournament. According to the X user, Ahmed did not play throughout the competition.
Reacting to the post, the soldier with handle @adiepaul9 wrote:
“Yet as a soldier, I stayed in the Northeast fighting Boko Haram for 4 years plus, I was shot nd still carrying the bullet in me till date, not even a medal from the army/Nigeria government.
