Access Holdings Plc has named Ms. Bolaji Agbede as its Acting Group CEO.
This is in a swift response to the unexpected passing of its former Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
Wigwe had died along with his wife, son, and three other passengers, including Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), aboard a helicopter identified as a Eurocopter EC130 by the US Federal Aviation Administration on Sunday bound for Las Vegas.
Nairametrics reports that the announcement was made by the Board of Directors of Access Holdings Plc on February 12, 2024, following an earlier statement dated February 11, 2024.
Ms. Agbede, who stands as the most senior founding Executive Director in charge of Business Support within the company, is set to handle the affairs of Access Holdings Plc subject to the approval of the CBN.
