A video showing the aftermath of the discovery of the lifeless bodies of Akure socialite, Sesan Adelabu, also known as Emirate, and his wife, Bolu is trending.
The video shows Emirate lying on his bed after his body had been retrieved from the toilet where he reportedly died after ingesting insecticide.
The video also shows the lifeless body of the wife in the living room, covered in blood.
Emirate, a petroleum products dealer based in Akure, Ondo State capital, reportedly hacked his wife to death over an unknown reason in their residence at Alagbaka GRA area of the city on Friday, February 9, 2024.
An unconfirmed report stated that he found his wife having an affair with one of his security men, but this could not be confirmed.
There was no third party with them when they lost their lives.
Channels Television reported that a policeman of the Special Protection Unit of the A Division Station in Akure, attached to Adelabu’s residence on Friday evening received a distress call from the deceased’s son who said he had been calling him on the phone, and he was not picking the calls.
The policeman went to the residence to investigate what was happening and reportedly found Adelabu’s lifeless body on the floor in the toilet, while the remains of his wife were found on the bed, with several match£te cuts. An empty bottle of insecticide was on the floor.
