Leicester City calls Iheanacho ‘Senior Man’ after his shot sent Super Eagles to final

Leicester City have taken to Twitter to hail Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho for sending Nigeria’s Super Eagles to the final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Ivory Coast.

The Super Eagles squared up with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-final encounter on Wednesday.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

When it went into a penalty shootout, Nigeria came tops with four goals to South Africa’s two.

Iheanacho, who currently plays with Leicester, scored the decisive penalty to send Nigeria to the AFCON final.

Leicester City, later took to their official X account to celebrate their man, with the post: “Seniorman sends Nigeria through!”
