A Nigerian lady living in Canada has urged her compatriots in the country to learn from her predicament to save their jobs.
Maria said she got a job to care for someone for eight hours every Sunday and she did not last more than three Sundays because she found herself telling the lady sorry each time she had a crisis.
According to Maria, the lady she was caring for lapsed into spells of pain and as an empathetic person, she could not resist telling her sorry to ease her pain.
A relative of the boss was with her during her first day on the job and told her it was not appropriate for her to be telling her sorry for something she did not cause.
She said she tried to caution herself after that, but still found herself doing it in a few unguarded moments and she later got a mail from her boss that her contract was terminated.
She said her boss explained that her constant saying of ‘Sorry’ was messing with her mental health.
