Actress Lizzy Anjorin was on Monday, February 5, accused of theft and issuing a fake bank alert to purchase an item at a popular market in Lagos State.
An X user @BettyStaveley who shared the story online said the actress was at the market to purchase some fashion accessories when one of the shop owners accused her of visiting his shop last year and using a fake bank alert to purchase goods worth N91, 000.
Betty said the alleged theft happened last year December.
Then on Monday, February 5, the actress reportedly returned to the same shop, disguised as an Alhaja to shop again.
She was almost done when her veil reportedly slipped off and someone recognized her and hinted the shop owner that it was the same person that came last year to dupe the shop.
They thereafter started questioning and harassing the actress.
A video of the scene showed the actress sitting down while in the small shop full of women. She can be seen trying to stop someone from filming her.
In the background, someone can be heard suggesting that it might be a case of mistaken identity, as she could not steal.
