Schoolgirl hailed as hero after she saved a ‘dying’ man with her inhaler (Photos, Video)
It turned out the victim is a serial scammer
A schoolgirl is being hailed as a hero after she saved a dying man, later identified as Joshua, with her inhaler in Lagos.
The girl was reportedly in a tricycle going home from school when she saw the commotion arising from a man collapsing by the roadside in a ‘serious asthma crisis’.
She reportedly told the keke to stop and jumped down to give the man her own inhaler.
The man was able to recover and later sat up.
An X user, @AlgorithmPrime who witnessed the incident wrote: “This man slumped on the road today his Inhaler has finished we were all rushing to find a way to save him and then this little school girl rushed out of a keke taking her home brought out her inhaler to save a complete stranger. There is hope for humanity here.”
In a twist of the story, some other X users saw the story and remembered the face of the victim as they had seen him in similar situations before.
It turned out the victim was actually a notorious scammer who faints in busy areas to get donations from good Samaritans.
He was exposed in 2022. Apparently, he is back in the game now following the harsh economic realities.
