Lady lodged in hotel room found decapitated in Yola
A young lady’s body was discovered without a head in a hotel room in Yola, Adamawa, prompting a search for suspected ritualists by the police in the state.
The woman was believed to have been k!lled and decapitated in a hotel in Yola North Local Government Area on Thursday, January 18.
The man reportedly brought the lady along when he paid for the room. He later told the receptionist that he wanted to buy something outside, but failed to return.
Upon checking his room, the staff found the headless body of the young lady.
The police was involved and the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, ordered an immediate investigation into the matter to apprehend the perpetrators.
The CP in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, warned that the killing of innocent citizens would no longer be tolerated under whatever guise.
According to him, the Command holds the lives of all Citizens sacrosanct, and such unwarranted acts would be strictly treated in accordance with extant laws. He equally reiterated the commitment of the Command to protecting lives and property while stressing that it is vital to work with other sister security agents in protecting the fundamental rights of all citizens to enable them to advance their sacred mandate of serving and protecting the citizens better.
The police boss appealed for calm as top security agencies were collaborating to arrest the culprits.
