‘Dem no born any governor well to raise his hand if the soldier refused to follow them’, Soldier reacts to Sanwo-Olu’s arrest of his colleague
A Nigerian Soldier, who styled himself, General Salawu on TikTok, has reacted to the viral video of Lagos State Governor arresting his colleague.
On Tuesday, January 2, governor Sanwo-Olu apprehended the soldier and four others for plying one way along the Lagos-Badagry.
In a viral video, the soldier with the username General Salawu on Tiktok frowned at the governor for describing the soldier as a ‘’useless boy”.
He averred that the governor had no right to refer to the soldier as such in front of “bloody civilians.”
He went on to state that if the soldier was driving close to his barracks and refused to be arrested, the governor wouldn’t have done anything about it.
He claimed the lance corporal broke his arm in the North East and had an iron implant.
“You are calling a Lance Corporal useless in front of who? Those id*ots, bast*rd civilians? DSS dey push a soldier. See, ba, in any situation you find yourself, na five seconds army give you to compose yourself. After that, you must know how to reply back. Anything. Any attack wey come your way.”
He argued that the soldier should have stood his ground and no one would have been able to arrest him beside his barracks.
He argued that soldiers who want to buy something beside their barracks do not need to go the long route to turn and follow the right way.
He accused Sanwo-Olu of acting like a tout.
“Dem no born any Governor well to carry him hand up say he wan slap am if him refuse to follow them”.
He said if his senior in the army asked him to do something he would do it immediately, but not a governor.
The soldier appears to have deleted his entire account after his video was picked up by LIB.
A quick search of TikTok revealed that the Username no longer exists.
