The family of the veteran actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr. Ibu has explained the reason he has not been flown abroad for comprehensive treatment.
In a press release signed by his son, Valentine Okafor, on behalf of the family, it was stated that Mr. Ibu could not be flown abroad because the doctors had classified him as ‘Not fit to Fly’.
And as such, no airline would accept to fly him.
The son also clarified that the second amputation done on the actor was on the same leg that was previously amputated.
Valentine said the same leg was further amputated to save his life.
He said the actor had no issues with diabetes as being speculated. He said he had a case of blood clot on the leg and it grew worse.
Valentine called on Nigerians to support the family with prayers.
