One of the two suspects held for gangr@ping 20-year-old lady in Imo escapes from police cell

One of the two suspects held by the police for allegedly gangr@ping a 20-year-old girl in Owerri, Imo State has reportedly escaped from custody.

Investigative journalist, @PIDOMNIGERIA who broke the story online over the weekend, gave the update on X.

According to the update, the police in Orji police station where two out of the three suspects who raped the victim were detained, claimed that Obinna escaped from the police cell on Monday.

@PIDOMNIGERIA however said he was informed that some officers of the station let the suspect go after collecting a bribe.
