A man has taken to social media to narrate how his car was vandalized where he parked it overnight in front of his house.
He did not state the exact location, but it is believed to be somewhere in Lagos the date stamp on the video shows November 23, 2023.
According to him, the sum of N45,000 he kept in the car was stolen.
In addition, the brain box of his car, a Toyota Saloon, was removed. All the window power buttons were also removed, among other things.
There has been an upsurge in petty crimes since the economy took a major plunge in the last six months. Incidents of burglary and car vandalism have been reported in various parts of Lagos and its neighbouring states.
In Journalist Estate Phase One, Ogun State, at least three of such incidents have been reported by residents.
