‘Winter nearly destroyed my hands’, Nigerian newbie in Canada laments harsh weather
Old-timers tell her she hasn’t seen anything yet
A Nigerian woman with the Tiktok handle, Lekcious, who is living in Canada has taken to the platform to lament that she almost lost her hands to frostbite just for staying outside for 10 minutes.
The woman who was fully kitted, up to head-warmer, in the video said she waited for her bus for only 10 minutes and she lost feeling in her hands.
According to her, she was wearing double-lined leggings and a pair of thick gloves, yet, her hands were nearly destroyed.
Her compatriots who have been in Canada longer took to the comments section to warn her that it was just the onset of winter and that she should prepare for much colder weather.
A certain Moses advised her: “And biggest mistake Is that don’t ever soak your hands inside hot Water it’s gonna make it worst trust me.”
Lekcious said that was exactly what she did and she regretted it.
