A Nigerian reality star, Sunshine Chiamaka Obinweaku, has called out those who prevented her from cutting short her own life.

Sunshine, who took part in the Film House Africa reality show, was said to have attempted suicide by hanging herself.

She had taken selfies of herself in the process and sent to her colleagues, including  Rosie Afuwape, winner of the Ultimate Love reality show.

Sunshine, aka SunshineDeJewel, has now returned to social media to talk about her attempted suicide.

She wrote: “I didn’t ask to be saved. With much hatred, I can’t exist with all your curses, and I’m not asking for your help. Hold your clout and popularity.”

Rosie alleged that Sunshine has been threatening suicide for a while and all her former co-stars had helped her financially but got tired after she refused to work when they helped her get jobs.

Sunshine has been detailing her struggles on her page for months now, while expressing her desire to be famous and return to the TV screen again.

Her IG posts were mostly happy content and videos of her skits, until June 2023 when she began calling out her ex-husband while announcing that her marriage to him is over.

In many of the posts, she alleged that her ex-husband, who she claims was a bouncer, subjected her to domestic abuse.

She also said in one post, “Am second hand and no man will marry a divorcee that exposed her story to the world.”

She added back in June that she made a mistake by marrying for love and she might be dying soon.

She then advised single women to “Look well before you enter.”

She also apologised to all her friends that she abandoned when she got married. She begged them to come back because she needed them.
