Lady who was cursed for mocking a doctor shot by terrorists on Kaduna-bound train last year is dead
An ardent supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and former President Muhammadu Buhari, Posh Mama, who mocked a medical doctor shot on a Kaduna-bound train last year, is reportedly dead.
It would be recalled that some terrorists attacked a train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna in March last year and shot many of the passengers before abducting many more.
One of those shot was a young medical doctor, Chinelo who tweeted to Nigerians in her last moments to pray for her as she had just been shot.
She had written on 28 March 2022: “I’m in the train. I’ve been shot. Please, pray for me.”
Posh Mama responded with her own tweet dated 29 March 2022: “Your shot isn’t serious, otherwise you’ll be asking us to call the army, not pray for you.”
Another person named Abolore followed up with an even more ghastly tweet: ” Are you dead now?”
The young doctor died from her wounds, causing widespread outrage on Twitter (now X) against those who sent insensitive or callous responses to the dying doctor.
An incensed X user with the handle, @raychellehartog, responded to Posh Mama in apparent anger.
She wrote: “May this same thing happen to you and may we find it difficult to believe.”
A little over a year after the incident, Posh Mama took to X to lament about the cost of accessing medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
She wrote on July 19, 2023: “I had three pints of blood transfusion last week. The hospital charged me N50,000 per pint!”
She attached a picture of a hanging sachet of blood and the hospital bed where she apparently lay.
On Monday, an X user broke the news of her demise on the platform.
Paying her a tribute, she wrote: “Rest in peace, Posh Mama. May God console all your loved ones. You were a sweet soul. Hmmmmnnn. Life!”
However, instead of getting commiserations and tributes, she received angry responses.
Many X users disagreed with the ‘sweet soul’ part of the tribute and went into the archives to screengrab some of her past tweets that they described as insensitive or full of hate or bigotry.
An X user, @PEC_Concepts fired back: “NO! She wasn’t a sweet soul, she was an ice cold devil incarnate; a devil in human form like other BATists who mocked and laughed at Dr. Chinelo at the point of death in the hands of terrorists. All Dr. Chinelo asked for were prayers, but the last things she saw before giving up the ghost were mockeries. How cold?
