Rapper Oladips accused of faking his own demise as publicity stunt
Rapper Oladips seems to be hale and hearty. The news of his de@th appears to have been orchestrated by him to get publicity for his new album released hours ago.
This is coming to light as his close colleague and associate, Qdot, on Thursday took to social media to announce that his friend is not dead.
It would be recalled that Oladips’ management, in a statement put on his official Instagram page announced his demise on Wednesday, saying he passed away on on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Sharing a picture of Oladips on his Instagram page, Qdot wrote, “@oladipsoflife, my gee is alive.”
The announcement threw his fans into confusion, with some questioning the veracity of his claim while others expressed their opinion that the circumstances surrounding the so-called death was suspicious consistent with a strategy to promote Oladips’ album, ‘Superhero Adugbo,’.
Some of the celebrities who posted tributes for him on their social media pages, such as actress Bukunmi Oluwashina, have pulled them down.
Many netizens are outraged that anyone could go to such an extreme extent to chase clout.
