Rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, better known as Oladips has been strongly criticized by Nollywood actress Etinosa for faking his own death to gain publicity for his brand.
It would be recalled that the management of Oladips posted his obituary on his own Istagram page on Wednesday, saying he passed away on November 14th, 2023, at 10:14 PM.
Prior to the announcement, a video circulated online showing Oladips collapsing and being rushed to the hospital during the late hours of the same day.
Before the video of the rapper’s collapse went viral, Oladips had taken to his Instagram stories to seek help.
In the post, he mentioned his friend, @onlyonelifetime, and inquired about his whereabouts. Oladips expressed concern about being left alone in the house, especially given his condition, and pleaded for his friend to come to the house.
The rapper’s message read: “Onlyonelifetime_Please Where Are You? I Done Call Your Number Tire. I Talk Say Make Una No Dey Leave Only Me For This House, I Done Talk This Thing Like A Million Times… Not Even This Period Like This Please Dey Come House Please Tori Olorun.”
Following this, another video emerged, showing someone behind the camera crying and pleading to be taken to the hospital.
@Onlyonelifetime, Oladips’ friend, also took to Instagram to reveal that the rapper’s mother did not want her son to be taken to the hospital. According to reports, the mother insisted that her child should be returned to her.
With the latest disclosure by another friend of the artiste that he is hale and hearty, many people have been dragging him for stooping too low to gain fame.
Nollywood actress, Etinosa has been in the forefront of those dragging Oladips.
Etinosa described the stunt as a poorly written script.
She wrote: “Poorly written script and badly acted. I watched the stupid clips last night. Several times. I didn’t want to talk until you guys come out to debunk because every death stunt must have its debunking date but you popole own came too early. Mscheewwww. How come it’s the day he’s going to die he made a video and wrote a story of how he’s calling his PA. and that’s the same day the PA will post that he’s driving and the other rubbish video in a car that looked so much like Mohahd car video !! Damn! You guys couldn’t even be creativie. You just copy Mobahd own word for word. Tueh! BLOCKED”
A netizen, Maryann, also condemned the stunt saying “He will make Nigerians not take the next person that will cry out serious”

One Ozo wrote “If this is true then he went too extreme …..imagine using death as a joke??? Una wan Dey whine God???”
