‘If you don’t want to inherit curses, stop bullying Mohbad’s father’ – Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi tells Nigerians
Nollywood actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi has blasted Nigerians attacking late singer Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, for granting a series of interviews in which he demanded a DNA test on his grandson, Liam and also spoke on how his son left his properties in the custody of his wife, Wunmi.
Aloba during the last Coroner inquest, said he did not trust Wunmi and that his late son told him Wunmi was always putting sleeping pills in his noodles.
“I shared 18 years together with my son, and he had no record of any terminal disease. I only took him to a chemist when he was 16 for treatment of rashes. I don’t trust his wife. My son told me she always put sleeping pills in his noodles and went to another room to sleep with another signee in the same house. Mobhad made efforts to reconcile me with his mother,” he told the Coroner’s inquest last Friday, October 27
Some Nigerians have berated the father and said all he cared about are his son’s material possessions and not justice for his son who died in controversial circumstances.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Yomi argued that people should stop dictating to Mr Aloba how he should mourn his son who died at the age of 27.
He argued that if Wunmi is clean, she should come forward and deny the allegations levelled against her by the distraught father.

“Most of our parents spent majority of what they earn on us than themselves. Before birth, when we were sick, when we were schooling etc.
I mean bold to say it, NO CHILD HAS SPENT ON THE PARENT MORE THAN HE SPENDS ON SELF. And no where any parent has ever complained about this.
If you don’t want to inherit curse with your own children, STOP BULLYING MOHBAD’S FATHER AND DICTATING TO HIM HOW TO GRIEVE AND WHAT HE HAS RIGHT TO FIGHT FOR THAT CONCERNS HIS DECEASED CHILD WHO DIED IN SERIES OF CONTROVERSIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. You are defaming the man way too much. STOP NOW!
Upright women and men on social media, don’t fall for all these fake social media accounts, blogs and personalities that try to set the man up for bullying. They are delusional and evil. They should watch it because they have children too.
WUNMI HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO SPEAK AND DEFEND HERSELF BECAUSE THAT IS PERHAPS THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN TAKE THE PAIN TO ACCUSE HER OF SUCH WEIGHTY ALLEGATIONS. If you can post series when Mohbad died, defend yourself too.
If you have wronged Mohbad truly(not murder oh), be humble to apologize to the man. And if all lies, speak up. Don’t let those promising you shit with social media push you into deceit and delusion oh.
“STOP FOLLOWING THESE DIVISIVE, CONFUSED, FACELESS AND SELECTIVE ACTIVISTS AND BLOGGERS. They abuse the rights of others with impunity should any express themselves differently.
How can any human think the properties left by Mohbad will heal the pain and replace Mohbad for his father? Even the late singer told us how his father suffered to raise him and apologised for wrong doings to him. Can anyone in this world feel that part of the lyric more than this man?
There is a serious gap and consequences between MURDER and BULLYING. Those sentenced to murder faces tougher punishment in Prison, they might be hanged or killed by firing squad. Until you attend the prison before you know. Before you link anyone with murder, be very, very sure and have your facts and proof. Caveat!
The father’s approach from beginning may not seat well with everyone because it was thrown online but that won’t deny him his standpoints and fight to see that he did not loose totally.
Learn to always think outside the box and respect other people’s right offline or online. Let the baba grieve, share his concerns and fight for everything that is his son especially from those he feel should not have right to it. IF ANYBODY SHOULD HAVE RIGHT TO MOHBAD’S PROPERTIES, SINCE THERE ARE CONCERNED RAISED BY THE DECEASED TO HIS FATHER, CLEAR ALL HIS DOUBTS THEN THE MAN CAN HAVE CLOSURE. That is a huge part of the justice he deserves.
NB: Don’t let them use you on social media to silence or de-rep the innocent man. He is fighting for his son not property. Wunmi has equal moral rights to defend herself on such weighty allegations. She should bring her truth if any.”
