‘I met her dismembered body. I did not report to police because I was sick’- Boyfriend of murdered UNIPORT girl
A 400-level student in the Department of Petrochemical Engineering of the University of Port Harcourt, Damian Okoligwe also known as Collins, has been paraded by the Rivers State Police command in connection with the killing and dismembering of his girlfriend, Justina Otuene.
The DPO overseeing the area of crime led detectives to the scene and, on arrival, forced the door open to discover a ghana-must-go bag containing a lifeless body.
“A preliminary investigation is in progress. The case has been transferred to the state CID for discreet investigation,” he said.
However, Damian during interrogation, denied killing his girlfriend claiming he came home to find her dismembered body.
Upon questioning by the Police on why he did not report the murder, he claimed he was sick and had gone to a pharmacy to receive treatment.
He said besides, if he reported, no one would believe him.
Even though Damian stayed alone, he insisted he did not have a hand in her death.
