‘All these ones are going’ – Lagos commissioner says as he releases drone footage showing houses built on drainage channel

The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has indicated that more houses blocking drainage channels in the state will be demolished.

The Commissioner stated this on his X handle. He posted a video of him and others discussing drone footage showing illegal estates built inside the Gedegede-Ikota drainage channel that causes flood in the Lekki phase 11 area.

‘’Drone shot showing how illegal structures were built on drainage channels and setbacks along Gedegede-Mobil road-Ikota, blocking the canals and thereby causing flooding in Lekki Phase II,” he wrote on X.
