The lawmaker representing Ngala constituency in the Borno House of Assembly, Bukar Abacha, has been thrown into mourning following the strangulation of his daughter at her residence in Gidan Dembe area of Maiduguri.
According Zagazola Makama reportage, the lawmaker’s daughter’s body was found at her house with her legs and hands tied behind her back.
The publication said the husband of the victim took her corpse to the police station, adding that her two-year-old daughter was found crying beside her body.
Kamilu Sani, police spokesperson in the state, confirmed the incident to TheCable on October 18.
“We actually received a report on the killing, but whether it was gunmen that committed the culpable homicide or not is yet to be ascertained.
The police have already commenced a discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing as well as arrest and bring the perpetrators to book,” the he said.
