Spokesperson of Nigeria Police Force reacts to reports of a notorious criminal joining the force

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to reports that a notorious criminal joined the police.

Photos of the suspected criminal, Nasiru Abdullahi, A.K.A Chile Maidoki, posing in what appears to be police uniforms hit the internet on Monday, October 16.

Some Nigerians on X immediately called on Adejobi to authenticate the report.

Responding, Adejobi mentioned that the men in such uniforms are not policemen but repentant individuals who have been mobilized into the constabulary scheme of Kano State.

Some Nigerians however disagree with him, arguing that the uniform worn by those in the Constabulary scheme is different from the ones worn by the suspected Criminal.

Adejobi then requested that Nigerians should wait for comments from the Kano State police command.
