Residents weep as Lagos state govt demolish their properties blocking water channels in Lekki (video)

A video of residents of an estate weeping and left in shock after their buildings were demolished in the Ikota, Lekki area of Lagos State has surfaced online.

The video showed properties being removed from the building. A young man is seen weeping and throwing tantrums as the taskforce agents move with their caterpillars to destroy more buildings in the area.

The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources in a chat with the residents said they were given enough time to evacuate the buildings but they refused.
