The management of Kwara State Polytechnic has disowned the two ladies Adama Joseph and Oreoluwa Davies, who were paraded by the Nigeria Police as suspects in the murder of club owner Adeniyi Ojo in a hotel in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The institution’s Public Relations Officer, Halimat Garba, on Thursday, quoted the institution’s registrar as saying that the suspects are not students of the polytechnic.

Halimat Garba in a statement said: “The Management wishes to disclaim this discrediting and malicious news about the institution, stating that the suspects being paraded in Abuja by the force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, are students of Kwara State Polytechnic.

“The Polytechnic management wishes to state categorically that its students are good ambassadors of the Polytechnic, the state, and Nigeria at large and will never indulge in such acts.”

The institution emphasized that the suspects’ assertion that they attended the polytechnic is false, without foundation, and the product of their imagination, stressing that the claim was made to tarnish the reputation of the perpetually peaceful institution.

Additionally, the registrar requested all Polytechnic stakeholders and press personnel to confirm any information associated with the organization before disseminating it.

It would be recalled that Adama claimed that she had completed her ND program at Kwara Polytechnic prior to the occurrence.
