The police in Bolgatanga Municipal, Upper East Region of Ghana have arrested six slay queens for assaulting a Tiktoker, Abicute, popular for uploading dance videos.
Abicute was severely attacked by at least six girls for allegedly sleeping with the boyfriend of one of them named Hagar.
Abicute (Real name, Abigael) was flogged, punched and dragged on the ground by her furious friends in a video that has since gone viral.
She was seen trying to defend herself initially but was clearly outnumbered.
The girls can be heard saying that the assault would prevent Abicute from engaging in relationships with the boyfriends of other girls the way she did with Hagar’s boyfriend.
The friends reportedly filmed and uploaded the beating on social media to further humiliate their estranged friend.
Abicute was reportedly injured in the fracas and was hospitalized at Bolgatanga Regional Hospital
The public received the video of the incident with outrage and called for the arrest of the girls.
The latest information now indicates that the six girls have been picked up for questioning in connection with the assault.
