Woman disgraced after allegedly confessing to killing her sons over their father’s properties
A woman was paraded around Ezeagu Village in Enugu State by elders after she allegedly confessed to killing her sons.
Videos shared online show elders of the village questioning the woman after her second son, named Emmanuel Chidera, died at the age of 22.
She allegedly confessed to killing Emmanuel and his brother.
A social media user who claims to know one of the woman’s dead sons alleged that the man told them at their last village meeting that his mother should be held responsible if anything happened to him.
Another user claimed the mother had remarried a man from Kogi State and the new husband encouraged her to sell off her late husband’s properties.
Her children confronted her and told her to stop selling their father’s properties and they died one after the other following the confrontation.
After the alleged confession by the mother of the deceased, palm fronds were placed on her neck and she was paraded around the village while people followed and cursed her.
